Dr. Kevin Hsu, DPM, is our newest podiatric clinician and surgeon, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. With a background in wound care, diabetic limb salvage, sports medicine, and trauma management, Dr. Hsu brings valuable expertise to our practice.

He completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at St. Mary’s and Elizabeth Medical Center, Chicago, specializing in Reconstructive Rear Foot/Ankle Surgery. As Chief Resident, he demonstrated strong leadership skills and proficiency in medical systems like Epic, PracticeFusion, and Athena.

Dr. Hsu is a graduate of the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Lake Forest College. He is certified in BLS/ACLS, and his commitment to service is evident through numerous honors and awards.

His research experience includes work at Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans Affairs Hospital in the Neuroplasticity Lab.

Dr. Hsu is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Beyond his medical career, he gained experience in graphic design and accounting. Dr. Hsu is also known for his dedication to volunteer work, spanning various organizations and causes.

In addition to English, Dr. Hsu is conversational in Chinese and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Outside of his profession, he enjoys playing the piano, fishing, wood-working, and basketball.

We are pleased to introduce Makayla Heisey, an experienced nurse practitioner who recently graduated from Clarion and Edinboro Universities. Makayla has successfully passed her AANP board exam and holds licensure from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

With a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner, Makayla is ready to provide exceptional care to patients within our community. She is dedicated to delivering quality healthcare and is excited to join our team of dedicated providers.

Makayla’s clinical experience includes working at various healthcare facilities, such as the Crawford County VA Clinic, Meadville Community Health Clinic, Steward Women’s Health Center, Laurel Pediatric Associates, Vernon Express Care, and Decker Family Medicine. These experiences have equipped her with a diverse range of skills in primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, and urgent care.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Makayla has also gained valuable experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Meadville Medical Center. She has worked collaboratively with providers and nursing staff in a fast-paced emergency department, demonstrating her ability to provide timely and efficient care. Makayla has also served as a preceptor for registered nurses and students in the field, showcasing her commitment to mentorship and professional development.

Makayla holds current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. She is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Furthermore, she is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

We are thrilled to have Makayla join our team, bringing her expertise, dedication, and passion for healthcare. Her commitment to providing excellent patient care aligns perfectly with our mission.
