A navicular fracture is a fracture of the navicular bone of the foot which is at the top of the midfoot where the foot meets the ankle. A fracture is usually caused by a fall, severe twist or direct trauma to the bone. Repeated stress to the foot can cause the bone to fracture. Athletes are susceptible to fractures of this bone.
